KAISER CHIEFS ANNOUNCE 20TH ANNIVERSARY EDITION OF ‘EMPLOYMENT’ + MASSIVE OUTDOOR TOUR

Get your blazers out the wardrobe and turn up the volume — Kaiser Chiefs are celebrating two decades of Employment, and they’re throwing one hell of a party to mark the occasion.

Dropping July 18th, the China Anniversary Edition of the band’s iconic debut album comes in three seriously collectible formats, including a white vinyl LP, an expanded 2LP with B-sides and two unreleased tracks, and a mega 3CD version with 40 bonus tracks. We’re talking unreleased demos, remixes, live recordings and more — all handpicked by the band and freshly remastered at Abbey Road.

It’s hard to overstate the impact of Employment. Released back in March 2005, it launched a new era for British indie rock. With hits like “I Predict A Riot,” “Everyday I Love You Less and Less,” and “Oh My God,” the album defined a generation, soundtracked countless house parties, and earned 7x Platinum status. It’s one of those rare records that still feels electric 20 years later.

The band’s statement puts it perfectly: “20 years ago, a brand new song by a brand new band was released. I Predict A Riot was the start of something really special… and the album that followed changed our lives.” And now, in true Kaiser Chiefs fashion, they’re turning up the nostalgia with a nationwide summer tour to match.
